The Culturally Embedded Disintegration of the Hispanic Family

A recent Seattlepi.com article notes the increase of out-of-wedlock births among Hispanic women. This birthrate is quickly catching up to the culturally embedded 70% out-of-wedlock birthrate of black American women. Note the similarity to patterns within the black American population:

1) The combination of inner city norms (decreased emphasis on traditional values)  mixed with the Hispanic tradition that does not discuss sex-education. Children are left to their larger environment and peer group for identity.

2. Due to immigration, traditional extended family networks are breaking down and single parent families are on track to become a culturally embedded behavior pattern in Hispanic American society.

One aspect that the article leaves out is the alienation of Hispanic males. Hispanic men have low education rates. This low rate of education will condemn them to low wages jobs that cannot support nuclear families.  As a consequence, more Hispanic males will gravitate toward gang culture and away from the nuclear family structure. Hispanic females in a similar pattern to black American women will be unable to cope with a large population of angry, fatherless children.   As the out-of-wedlock birthrate increases, so will rates of juvenile delinquency and crime.

Prediction: In a few generations, what's left of the dysfunctional black American population will begin to merge with its counterparts among the Hispanic and poor white American populations. By 2050, it is predicted that white Americans will be a minority population in America. In time, America's population will resemble the poor mixed Hispanic/black/white underclass of Brazil.

A dysfunctional family structure coupled with a low emphasis on education will only lead to disaster. Think it can't happen, look at the black American family.

We Ain't Gon' Make It: Monkey Bumpin'

Just happened across the latest dance craze from the West Indies. The best way to describe it would be to call it Monkey Bumpin. As you watch this video "Monkey Bumpin', note the degeneration of dance into a very animalistic, yet ritualistic event. Essentially, the event boiled down to a mating session with male posturing, female submission, the simulation of sexual acts, and very brutal antics which you wouldn't otherwise see except in a monkey documentary on Wild Kingdom.  Honestly, when I saw the man and woman "Monkey Bumpin'," in the tree, all I could do was laugh to keep from crying. Note, that when you see the part with the man and women ritualistically wresting and humping on the ground, it's a sure sign of social breakdown. Folks, even if Obama gets into office (and I do hope he wins the election), he's not going to be able to fix these social trends.
